Vivotek has recently published a how-to dcument on the Application Note section of their Support web page! It is about to connect the camera's Ethernet cable with one to extend it. This happens with the help of a weather proof connector! Here are the instructions of how to attach an Ethernet cable to the camera's Ethernet one:
